In addition, the Colombian government struck down extradition in 1991, and Search Bloc was disbanded due to Carrillo's rough play style. Soon Pena and Murphy begin to question their new methods. He was incredibly ruthless towards any and all who stood in the way of his goal to take down Escobar, and he was known to get information out of numerous Narcos through questionable means. Later, Carrillo would throw him out of a helicopter when he refused to give information on Escobar, and Carrillo became infamous once more. If that name sounds familiar, it's because Narcos introduced him as a character in his own right in Season 2, quite possibly so they could have Carrillo do stuff that might have otherwise brought a lawsuit down on their heads. He is given full reign this episode shaking up the ground troops and leading 100 men to show Pablo that he is back. Escobar himself then arrived and confronted him, shooting him in the leg with a bullet that Carrillo had sent to Escobar via one of the captured spotters as a warning.
